The PIAA has tentatively released the state brackets which also determine qualifiers for the district tournament. This is unofficial, but if the PIAA and District 2 follow past history, this is the way it plays out.

Some quick notes:

  • Both Class 6A and Class 1A will play in subregionals which has been the norm. Class 5A will also be added to a subregional after having a stand-alone district tournament the past cycle.
  • Both Class 6A and Class 4A will play on the ‘West’ side of the bracket. Although there is no true East-West anymore, the majority of the teams are still geographically placed but not the case for this cycle for 6A and 4A. Class 6A was in the West last cycle has well.
