Every week, we will highlight some of the best special teams performances from the WVC and LFC presented by Northeast Industries. Here is Week 6:
SANTINO CAPITANO, Pittston Area
Special teams just isn’t kicking and returns. Coverage is just as important when it comes to field position. Capitano was in the forefront last Friday making three special team tackles including a solo tackle pinning the opponent at their own 10 yardline in the win over Crestwood.
MIKE IUZZOLINO, Delaware Valley
Usually Iuzzolino is getting accolades for his offense and defense, but he shows every week he is a complete player. The senior returned a kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown and blocked a punt in the Warriors win over Abington Heights.
BRAYDEN ROSE, Riverside
Rose is another player who constantly is making plays on offense and defense, but he has been one of the best special teams player this season. He returned a kickoff 81 yards for a touchdown, his third of the season.
