Every week, we will highlight some of the best special teams performances from the WVC and LFC presented by Northeast Industries. Here is Week 5:
COOPER LAUBACH, Crestwood
In his first full season, Laubach has become a reliable weapon in the kicking game for the Comets. He has done a great job with extra points and has had consistently long kickoffs. He went a perfect 8 for 8 on PATs last Friday in Crestwood dominating win over Nanticoke.
CALEB MAY, Berwick
The Bulldogs have shown us many weapons in the first half of their undefeated season. Add May to that list. He has used speed and athleticism to help Berwick with field position and this past Friday, raced 92 yards on a kickoff return for a touchdown in the Dawgs win over Hanover Area.
CHARLIE SPEICHER, Scranton Prep
The Cavaliers began last Friday’s game off with a bang to get the lead from the start in the win over Scranton High. Speicher took the opening kickoff and returned it 99 yards for a touchdown. Prep’s offense has come alive and the special teams are adding to that success.
