2025 PREVIEW
After a two year hiatus, coach Kyle Cook returns to the helm to lead the Sabers. It shoud be an easy transition, but he was handed an inexperienced roster so Susquehanna will be pressed to put up back-to-back winning seasons.
There will be a new quarterback for the Sabers as Gabe Maby or Caedon Stone will run the option. Donovan Baldwin, Travis Towner, and Xaiver Barber will be in compeition at tailback with Ryder Hobart or Joey Allen at fullback. Mason Keyes is a returning starter at wide receiver. Michael Smith, Hunter Downton, and Liam Albert will also be in the mix at the position.
The left side of the offensive line returns with Chris Serra at left tackle and William Hobart at left guard. Either Jackson Drag or Mitchell Lesser will be the new center. Chad Benson or Malachi Martel will play right guard. Camdyn Hawley or Holden Mills will fill the right tackle spot.
William Hobart is a returning starter at defensive end with Donovan Baldwin and Owen Cook playing the other side. Max Kowaleski, Serra, Mills, anf Austin Wallace should see time in the defensive interior. Ryder Hobart is back at one of the outside linebacker positions with Allen or Towner playing the other side. There will be a new inside linebacker from the group of Barber, Wayne Canute or Kaydin Welch. Keyes returns at one of the cornerback positions with either Smith or Downton taking over at the other side. Stone or Maby will be the new saftey.
Special teams positions will be decided during training camp.

QUOTE FROM COACH COOK: We lost a majority of our offensive output to graduation and do not return a large amount of upperclassmen. We will lean on our returning starters and focusing on the fundamentals early in the season. With almost 40 rostered players we hope competition in practice will lead to success on the field.
