This is the 15th anniversary edition of our Five To Watch series presented by Realtor Judith Cipriani of ERA One Source Realty. There are 32 teams in the WVC and LFC plus Holy Redeemer and Montrose so it’s impossible to recognize every single player who might be deserving. The players we do list are some of the best at their position or have an interesting role coming up in 2024 for their team. Players will be recognized at only one position, even if they are capable two-way players. For players who don’t make the list, we hope you strive to make our lists at the end of the season because they are the ones that really count.

Nick Ciampi, Sr. – Wyoming Area

Ciampi was a reliable placekicker for the Warriors and will give them even more firepower in 2025. He made 58 extra points last season which was second in District 2. He also will find himself in the Wyoming Area backfield as a running back this season. Ciampi was named a WVC Division 2 First Team kicker in 2o24.

Santino D’Amico, Sr. – Riverside
Height: 5-11 Weight 180

D’Amico has lived up to the high expectations thrown at him and hopes to top it off with a great senior season. For his career, he has 113 extra points and eight field goals, including seven field goals last season which tied him for the district lead. He was the leading scoring kicker in 2024 and has become a dangerous offensive weapon for the Vikings. With his strong leg (kicked a 41-yard field goal last year), he has also become a good punter as well. D’Amico was named an LFC Division III First Team kicker last season.

Reagan Decker, Sr. – Delaware Valley
Height: 6-4 Weight 210

Decker emerged on the scene last year as an unknown but really garnered attention for the Warriors special teams. He showed a very strong leg and the accuracy was outstanding for a first year player. Decker made seven field goals which was tied for the district lead, including kicks of 38, 39 & 40 yards. He also added 32 extra points. Decker was named an LFC Division I First Team kicker in 2024.

Jack Hartshorn, Jr. – Abington Heights
Height: 5-9 Weight 145

Hartshorn broke into the scene as freshman at Scranton Prep where he kicked 54 extra points and five field goals and also exhbited a strong leg on those field goals and kickoffs. He transferred to Abington Heights for his sophomore season, but didn’t play because of an injury. He is healthy going into this season and the Comets hope he can become a similar contributor like his brother who played for the Comets.
Jaeyden Sanchez, Sr. – Wilkes-Barre
Height: 5-4 Weight 130

Although small in stature, Sanchez showed a big leg for the Wolfpack and became more accurate with his extra point kicks as the season went on. A soccer player by nature, he has become more familiar with being a kicker on the gridiron and with the expecations of the Wilkes-Barre offense being high-scoring, Sanchez should have a busy fall.
