Every week, we will highlight some of the best special teams performances from the WVC and LFC presented by Northeast Industries. Here is Week 2:
SANTINO D’AMICO, Riverside
D’Amico picked up where he left off last season kicking two field goals (40 & 26 yards). He was also 8 for 8 in extra points. His powerful leg also had him record two touchbacks on kickoffs and finally he had two tackles on special teams.
CAEL KRUSHNOWSKI, Old Forge
For the second straight week, Krushnowski had a major impact on a close Old Forge victory. And it was special teams that was the key. He returned two kickoffs for touchdowns – 92 yards and 80 yards. The game ended up being decided in overtime by 3 points so this was a difference maker.
KOBE WHITE, Honesdale
The Hornets offense has already been playing on a high level in their first two victories, but the special teams got in on the fun. White returned a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown and also had two tackles on kickoff coverage.
