Every week, we will highlight some of the best linemen from the WVC and LFC presented by Honesdale National Bank. Here is Week 7:
MAX GETZIE, Wyoming Area
Wyoming Area’s offensive line has won the battle up front most weeks and that was the case again last Friday. Getzie helped pave the way for 453 yards of total offense and eight TDs, while also allowing no quarterback sacks in a win over Hanover Area.
AMIR GUILLITE, Delaware Valley
Delaware Valley has been running the ball with power and efficiency over their three-game winning streak. Guillite might be their best run blocker and helped the Warriors rush for 168 yards and four touchdowns against a very talented Long Island Lutheran team. He also was very good in pass protection.
JEREMY JANOSOV, Lake-Lehman
The Black Knights have had balance on offense, but last week their power running game was noticeable. Janosov has been one of the leaders up front and helped Lake-Lehman rush for 352 yards in a win over Tunkhannock.
AMBROSE ROSSI, Scranton Prep
Prep has had dominant offensive lines over the past decade and Rossi has been one of those impact lineman at left tackle the past couple seasons. With his size and athleticism, he is able to handle any blocking scheme the Cavs ask of him. On defense, he also has played well with six tackles last week against Abington Heights and also had a big hit on the quarterback forcing an incompletion on 4th down to end the game.
CADEN WILLIAMS, Susquehanna
The Sabers offense is running on all cylinders and one of the guys up front making an impact is Williams. He sealed the edge on a 63-yard reverse for a touchdown and also five tackles and one tackle-for-loss on the defensive side of the ball.
