Here are the 2023 NPF  LFC Division II All-Stars. The list is compiled by feedback from the division coaches and NPF Staff. We have added a division MVP which exemplifies a player who makes the biggest contribitions on both sides of the ball.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER
Daniel Pigga, Sr. – Dunmore
Pigga came into the 2023 season as a receiver and special teams player, but will leave as one of the better overall players in the area. When the Bucks switched their offense, Pigga became the primary ball carrier and a dangerous weapon in all phases of the game. Pigga ended up rushing for 1,752 yards and an impressive 11.7 yards per carry. He also had 31 receptions for 498 yards. He accounted for 26 total touchdowns. On defense, he was a standout defensive back and Pigga also was one of more dangerous kick returners in the LFC.

OFFENSE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Josh Vinton, Jr. – Western Wayne
Vinton took over the running back job last season because of injury and gave us a glimpse of things to come. This season, he was the workhorse for the Wildcats rushing for 1,547 yards and averaging 6.8 yards per carry. He ended up with 23 total touchdowns on the season. Like many of the backs before him at Western Wayne, Vinton earned his yardage with tough running between the tackles. In 2023, he improved his speed in the open field. Vinton also a standout defensive back on the Wildcats defense.

DEFENSE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Nick Donvito, Sr. – Dunmore
Donvito was the leading tackler last season and repeated that performance in 2023. The senior finished the season with 98 total tackles, five tackles-for-loss,  four sacks, and also led the Bucks in fumble recoveries including a 19-yard fumble return for a touchdown in the season opener against Old Forge. His leadership qualities have been a key reason for the succes on the defensive side of the ball for the Bucks. Donvito also blocked four kicks and contributed as a running back on offense.

LINEMAN OF THE YEAR
Nathan Reuther, Sr. – Dunmore

Reuther was the leader on the offensive line that saw Dunmore have a resurgence running the football. The Bucks dominated most opponents up front and he was very good at both run blocking and pass protection. He had over 30 pancake blocks on the season. The senior was also a force on the defensive side of the ball with 40 tackles, seven tackles-for-loss, two sacks and picked up his first interception of the season in the state quarterfinal.

COACH OF THE YEAR
Kevin McHale – Dunmore
The Bucks had a slow start to the season on offesne, and Coach McHale sensed he had to make some adjustments. Dunmore switched to a base Wing-T offense and they went from average to one of the best offenses in the area. It was an emotional season as longtime head coach Jack Henzes passed away in the off-season and anyone stepping in for a legend has big shoes to fill. But McHale has handled the transiton and the Bucks reached the state semifinal to add to their division and district titles.
