Every week, we will highlight some of the best special teams performances from the WVC and LFC presented by Figliomeni Pharmacy Care. Here is Week 8:

Lukowski, who also is a star for the girls soccer team, set a school record going 8 for 8 in extra points in the Trojans win over Holy Redeemer. She has improved since last season and has become reliable for the Nanticoke in the kicking game.

JOSH PIERRE, Pittston Area
It’s exciting enough to return a kickoff for touchdown in a game, but to do it twice in the same game is pretty special. Pierre did just that to give Pittston a spark twice after Tunkhannock touchdowns and help the Patriots to their fifth win.

ANDREW SUMMA, Scranton Prep
Summa has been a swiss army knife for the Cavaliers contributing on defense has a linebacker and as the second tight end on offense, but his special teams play have been key all season for Prep. He blocked a punt on Saturday to set up a touchdown as the Cavs won their fourth straight game.

Honorable Mention: Nick D’Amico, Riverside – 47-yd field goal; KR Vincent DaPalma, Carbondale – 87-yd kickoff return TD; K Colin Bailer, Carbondale – 32-yd field goal
