Every week, we will highlight some of the best special teams performances from the WVC and LFC presented by Figliomeni Pharmacy Care. Here is Week 1:

JACE CHOPYAK, Dallas
Chopyak picked up where he left off last season with kicking a 27-yard field goal and 5 for 5 on extra points. The Mountaineers have had strong special teams over the years and with the return of Chopyak, the kicking game is in good hands.

EVAN LAYBOURNE-BODDIE, West Scranton
One thing West Scranton lacked last year was playmakers but with the return of Laybourne-Boddie to lineup after missing last season, he gave the Invaders a spark in their win over Riverside. He returned a punt 35 yards for the first touchdown of the game that set the tone for West.

J.J. ROSA, Susquehanna
The Sabers used defense and special teams to propel them to a win over Holy Redeemer. Rosa opened up the scoring with a 66-yard punt return for a touchdown to give Susuquehanna a lead they wouldn’t relinquish

Honorable Mention: PK Sean Owens, Western Wayne – 59-yd punt return TD; PK Liam Burke, Wyoming Area – 6 for 6 XP; PK Keegan Hughes, Scranton 20 yard field goal.
