Here are the rankings after Week  13 presented by Gaughan Auto Store:


  1. Valley View Cougars (12-1), defeated North Pocono 42-7 (Last week: 1)
    It was a dominant performance by the Cougars who had 460 yards of offense and this one was never in doubt. Valley View will host a state playoff game for the first time in school history and will try to win a state playoff game for the first time since 1992 (Beat East Allegheny for state title).

  2. Delaware Valley Warriors (9-4), Lost to State College 28-19 (Last week: 2)
    Delaware Valley thought this was the year they could get past the Little Lions, but they got down early and even though they cut the lead to two in the second half, they fell for the fourth time in the last five seasons to State College in the state playoffs.

  3. North Pocono Trojans (10-3), lost to Valley View 42-7  (Last week: 3)
    It was a great year for North Pocono who just ran into a very good team last Friday. Nobody expected them to play for the district title at the beginning of the season.

  4. Hazleton Area Cougars (8-4), Season Complete (Last week: 4)
  5. Dallas Mountaineers (8-3), Season Complete (Last week: 5)
  6. Berwick Bulldogs (7-5), Season Complete (Last week: 6)


  1. Scranton Prep Cavaliers (12-0), defeated Wyoming Area 28-0 (Last week: 1)
    The defense was the story for Prep as they shut down a very good Wyoming Area offense. Cavaliers return to the state playoffs for the first time since 2018

  2. Old Forge Blue Devils (11-0), defeated Williams Valley 26-7 (Last week: 3)
    Old Forge wasn’t even challenged and will now officially enter the state tournament with a home game against District 11 champion Williams Valley. Blue Devils have been dominant in every game this season and the starters have only given up two touchdowns since Week 2.

  3. Wyoming Area Warriors (11-2), lost to Scranton Prep 28-0 (Last week: 2)
    Turnovers including a pick 6 doomed the Warriors as they were able to hold London Montgomery to one touchdown. But the Wyoming Area offense wasn’t good enough as they were shut out for the first time since 2017.

  4. Lakeland Chiefs (10-2), Season Complete (Last week: 4)
  5. Mid Valley Spartans (9-3), Season Complete (Last week: 5)
  6. Lackawanna Trail Lions (8-4), lost to Northern Lehigh 35-14 (Last week: 6)
    Trail managed to tie the game on the third quarter, but that was it for the offense as they were outscored 21-0 the rest of the way. Despite losing in states, the district championship was a feather in the program’s hat as they stopped Dunmore’s title streak this season.
