Every week, we will highlight some of the best special teams performances from the WVC and LFC presented by Figliomeni Pharmacy Care. Here is Week 8:

KODY CRESSWELL, Lackawanna Trail
In a hard-fought game, one play can swing momentum and that was the case Friday night. Dunmore had just scored to cut the Lackawanna Trail lead to 14-7 and put the Bucks right back in the game. But Cresswell ran back the ensuing kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown to seal the victory for the Lions. He also was a 100-yard rusher again.

REESE GAUGHAN, Riverside
Only a sophomore, Gaughan has already made a splash as wide receiver, quarterback and defensive back, but he also is one of bigger threats in the return game in the LFC. He returned a kickoff 78 yards for a touchdown to add to all the other things he does for the Vikings on Friday nights.

ASHTON SMITH, North Pocono
Smith has been a valuable member of a special team unit that has been one of the best in the LFC. It was his turn on Friday to make a splash play as he blocked a punt (actually stole it right off the foot of the punter) and then took it into the end zone for a touchdown that propelled the Trojans to their 7th win of the season.

Honorable Mention: PK Colin Bailer, Carbondale – 6 extra points, P Ian Barbini, Tunkhannock – 40-yd punt average; KR Nick Novak, Old Forge – 77-yd kickoff return TD; PR – Jake Mundy, Honesdale –  39-yd punt return TD
