Every week, we will highlight some of the best special teams performances from the WVC and LFC presented by Figliomeni Pharmacy Care. Here is Week 2:

USAMAH ALANSARI, Wyoming Area
Alansari scored one of his two touchdowns on a punt return to help Wyoming Area to a victory over Nanticoke in the team’s home debut. He is a valuable member of the offense but has made his mark in the return game as well.

ALEX BRINKMAN, North Pocono
A special teams play can kickstart a team and Brinkman’s blocked punt and subsequent 6-yard return for a touchdown got the Trojans on the board and propelled them to a victory over Honesdale.

LIAM CROLLY, Dunmore
In a close game, a special teams play can turn the tide and it did for the Dunmore Bucks on Friday. Crolly blocked a punt with the game scoreless in the first half and the next play Dunmore went deep for a 45-yard touchdown pass that would be the game-winner.

HONORABLE MENTION: PK Matt Cole, Valley View 35-yd field goal, 6 for 6 extra points; PK Jace Chopyak, Dallas 29-yd field goal, 6 for 6 in extra points; PR Devin Ayala, Mid Valley 75-yd punt return TD; KR London Montgomery, Scranton Prep 98-yd kickoff return TD; PK Roman Levant, Wallenpaupack 42-yd field goal; PK Connor Poole, Williamsport 35-yd field goal
