2021 PREVIEW
The Royals will be more competitive in 2021, but the biggest issue will be roster size and depth. Even though they return quality starters, injuries could hurt Holy Redeemer considering they only have 20 players on the team.
The skill players are strong although a new quarterback will behind center. Jacob Hunter is penciled in as the starter although John Wesneski is considered in the mix. Running back Christian Leon and wide receiver Zach Perta have both been starting since their freshman seasons and can be playmakers. Jaden Halstead will be the other main wide receiver in the spread offense. Ryan Bilski is the new tight end. Jeffrey Kozerski will anchor the offensive line along with DeSean Knox and Stan Wateski earning starting roles.
Knox has experience on the defensive line and will be joined by Paul Cooper. Kozerski will be one of the starting defensive ends. Wateski also returns as linebacker and will be joined by Leon. Perta and Hunter are the cornerbacks Halstead and Bilski will also play in the secondary.
