Wyoming Area Warriors (4-1) at Lakeland Chiefs (5-0)

Lakeland Stadium (Grass), Friday 7pm – Media: WQMY Stream
Conference Crossover
Lakeland 2-1
Last Meeting: 2018 – Lakeland 21-14
Last Week: Wyoming Area 27, Crestwood 0; Lakeland 33, Carbondale Area 14
Players To Watch
Wyoming Area: OL Ryan Gilpin; Lakeland: WR Nick Mancuso
The Skinny: Two teams definitely in the mix for Class 3A. Chiefs won it last season. Warriors in 2019. Could be a high-scoring affair with both teams throwing the ball all over the field.
Favorite: Lakeland by 3

Delaware Valley Warriors (2-3) at Hazleton Area Cougars (3-2)

Harman-Geist Memorial Field (Turf), Friday 7pm – Media: WYNY stream
Conference Crossover
Delaware Valley 13-5
Last Meeting:
2020 – Delaware Valley 55-30
Last Week: Delaware Valley 39, Abington Heights 7; Hazleton Area 28, Dallas 21 OT
Players to Watch
Delaware Valley:
TE Aiden Black; Hazleton Area: RB Matthew Buchman
The Skinny: The Warriors have domniated this series winning 13 straight. Both teams are playing very well compared to the beginning of the season. The first-year quarterbacks for each team are a reason why.
Favorite: Delaware Valley by 10

Dallas Mountainers (2-2) at Williamsport Millionaires (3-2)

STA Stadium (Turf), Friday 7pm
WVC Division Crossover
Dallas 6-3
Last Meeting:
2020 – Williamsport 48-0
Last Week: Hazleton Area 28, Dallas 21 OT; Berwick 28, Williamsport 21 OT
Players to Watch
WR Joe Peters; Williamsport: WR Jamaire Harden
The Skinny: The Mounts and Millionaires both lost 28-21 in overtime in games they were favored. Probably both have bitter tastes in their mouth. This will be a redemption game for one of them
Favorite: Williamsport by 4

Wilkes-Barre Wolfpack  (2-3) at Wyoming Valley West Spartans (3-2)

Spartan Stadium (Turf), Saturday, 4pm
WVC Class 5A/6A Game
Wilkes-Barre 2-0
Last Meeting:
2020 – Wilkes-Barre 9-8
Last Week: Wilkes-Barre 35, Pittston Area 21; Wyoming Valley West 20, Tunkhannock 15
Players to Watch
DL Jace John; Valley West: QB Luke Buss
The Skinny: Wilkes-Barre got healthy last week and it showed. Valley West is trying to find a passing game to go along with sophomore sensation Isaiah Cobb. This game was moved to Saturday at 4pm for safety reasons.
Favorite: Wyoming Valley West by 3

Crestwood Comets (1-4) at Valley View Cougars (5-0)

John Henzes Veterans Memorial Stadium (Turf), Friday 7pm – Media: NEPAFootball.com
Conference Crossover
Valley View 4-0
Last Meeting: 2017 – Valley View 51-0
Last Week: Wyoming Area 27, Crestwood 0; Valley View 48, West Scranton 0
Players To Watch
Crestwood: QB Jay Swank; Valley View: LB Jordan Rebar
The Skinny: Crestwood needs a fresh start after a disappointing first half of the season. Might not be the best place to do that against the state-ranked Cougars. However, Valley View hasn’t beaten a team with a winning record yet, but they don’t make the schedule. The Comets have never beaten the Cougars.
Favorite: Valley View by 20

Berwick Bulldogs (2-3) at Tunkhannock Tigers (2-3)

Memorial Field (Grass), Friday 7pm – Media: WHLM Stream
WVC Class 4A Game
Berwick 23-1
Last Meeting:
2019 – Berwick 21, Tunkhannock 9
Last Week: Berwick 28, Williamsport 21 OT; Wyoming Valley West 20, Tunkhannock 15
Players To Watch
Berwick: DB Drey Wilk; Tunkhannock: OL Nick Marabell
The Skinny: The Dawgs had an emotional home victory last week that Coach Carm DeFrancesco hopes turned the season around. They need to avoid a letdown against a team they have dominated over the years. Tigers offense is struggling in the spread so far in 2021.
Favorite: Berwick by 10

Nanticoke Trojans (1-4) at Pittston Area Patriots (1-4)

Charlie Trippi Stadium (Grass), Friday, 7pm – Media: NEPAFootball.com
WVC Division Crossover
Pittston Area 16-10
Last Meeting:
2019 – Pittston Area 30-8
Last Week: Nanticoke 7, Susquehanna 6; Wilkes-Barre 35, Pittston Area 21
Players To Watch
Nanticoke: RB Mykai Julian; Pittston Area: RB Harry Pugliese
The Skinny: Pittston has played better than expected despite the record. Nanticoke still can’t find much offense, especially throwing the football. Both teams could use a win to help their playoff standing.
Favorite: Pittston by 17

Wallenpaupack Buckhorns (2-3) at Scranton Knights (2-3)

Scranton Memorial Stadium (Turf), Friday 7pm
LFC Division I Game
Scranton 16-7
Last Meeting: 2020 – Wallenpaupack 42-0
Last Week: North Pocono 13, Wallenpaupack 6; Scranton 15, Honesdale 6
Players To Watch
Wallenpaupack: WR Justin Stella; Scranton: DL Jacob Martinez
The Skinny: Wallenpaupack is mired in three-game losing streak and the running game has been stifled. Scranton had a great road victory last Friday. The Knights play their first home game of the season after playing on the road for the first half of the season because of renovations at Scranton Memorial Stadium.
Favorite: Wallenpaupack by 4

Honesdale Hornets (2-3) at Western Wayne Wildcats (2-3)

Sharkey-Rosetti Complex (Turf), Friday 7pm – Media: NEPAFootball.com
LFC Division II Game
Series: Honesdale 31-15
Last Meeting:
2020 – Western Wayne 28-14
Last week: Scranton 15, Honesdale 6; Scranton Prep 41, Western Wayne 14
Players To Watch
Honedale: WR Kage Southerton; Western Wayne: QB Frankie Leyshon
The Skinny: The Shrine Game has become a big rivalry over the years so this will give Honesdale some incentive to pull an upset. The Wildcats are in a three-game losing streak although one of this was the LIAA’s absurd decision to give them a forfeit for the DV game that both teams took off their schedule.
Favorite: Western Wayne by 17

North Pocono Trojans (4-1) at Abington Heights Comets (1-4)

Comets Stadium (Grass), Saturday 2:30pm – Media: NEPAFootball.com
LFC Division I Game
Abington Heights 32-18-1
Last Meeting: 2019 – North Pocono 27-0
Last Week: North Pocono 13, Wallenpaupack 6; Delaware Valley 39, Abington Heights 7
Players To Watch
North Pocono: WR Korry Eisley; Abington Heights: DB Roman Cutrufello
The Skinny: North Pocono is on a three-game winning streak but it’s hard to gauge where they are at despite the high ranking in the Super Six. We might not know until the last two weeks of the season. The Comets still can’t find any offense and the defense can only do so much.
Favorite: North Pocono by 21

Riverside Vikings (2-3) at Mid Valley Spartans (4-1)

Spartan Stadium (Grass), Friday 7pm
LFC Division III Game
Riverside 21-9-1
Last Meeting: 2020 –  Mid Valley 45-21
Last Week: Dunmore 34, Riverside 0; Mid Valley 42, Holy Cross 6
Players To Watch
QB Casey O’Brien; Mid Valley: OL Josh Angelo
The Skinny: These two teams played twice last year splitting the two meetings. The Vikings spent the first half of the season just trying to get people healthy. The Spartans did what good teams do and dominated inferior talent.
Favorite: Mid Valley by 24

Carbondale Area Chargers (2-3) at Dunmore Bucks (2-2)

Taylor Veterans Memorial Stadium (Grass), Friday 7pm – Media: NEPAFootball.com
LFC Division III Game
Dunmore 41-4-4
Last Meeting:
2019 – Dunmore 28-0
Last Week: Lakeland 33, Carbondale 14; Dunmore 34, Riverside 0
Players To Watch
Carbondale: RB Logan Wormuth; Dunmore: WR Domenick DeSando
The Skinny: The Chargers have played tough in all their games in 2021, even the losses. Bucks can’t afford losses if they want the No. 1 seed in Class 2A and the schedule gets tougher after this week. Dunmore’s 34 points last week was a season-high.
Favorite: Dunmore by 16

Susquehanna Sabers (0-5) at Holy Cross Crusaders (3-2)

Msgr. Crotti Field (Grass), Saturday 2pm
LFC Division IV Game
Series: Susquehanna 13-2
Last Meeting: 2020 – Susquehanna 50-0
Last Week: Nanticoke 7, Susquehanna 0; Mid Valley 42, Holy Cross 6
Players To Watch
Susquehanna: QB Colton Stone; Holy Cross: TE Jonathan Jones
The Skinny: Holy Cross came down to earth last week but have a good chance to get back in the win column. Susquehanna has lost some heartbreakers this season and are hoping to get in the win column for the first time.
Favorite: Holy Cross by 6

Hanover Area Hawkeyes (1-4) at Old Forge Blue Devils (4-0)

Old Forge Veterans Memorial Stadium (Grass), Friday 7pm – Media: NEPAFootball.com
Conference Crossover
Old Forge 5-3
Last Meeting: 2019 – Old Forge 48-6
Last Week: Lake-Lehman 40, Hanover Area 7; Old Forge 1, Montrose 0 (Forfeit)
Players To Watch
Hanover Area: QB Christian Torres; Old Forge: DL Lou Capaldi
The Skinny: Old Forge players will be just happy to get on field after missing two straight weeks. Even if there is rust, they should handle Hanover who needs to shore up their defense which has struggled.
Favorite: Old Forge by 32

Lackawanna Trail Lions (4-1) at Montrose Meteors (0-5)

Montrose Memorial Field (Grass), Friday 7pm – Media: NEPAFootball.com
LFC Division IV Game
Series: Lackawanna Trail 30-12-1
Last Meeting: 2019 – Lackawanna Trail 54-13
Last Week: Lackawanna Trail 60, Holy Redeemer 27; Old Forge 1, Montrose 0 (Forfeit)
Players To Watch
Lackawanna Trail: QB Owen Lisk; Montrose: RB Jason Dunn
The Skinny: Game on for Montrose. The Meteors will have enough healthy players for Friday. Business as usual for Trail who will be tested at the end of the season.
Favorite: Lackawanna Trail by 38

Lake-Lehman Black Knights (2-2) at Holy Redeemer Royals (1-4)

Mountaineer Stadium (Dallas) (Grass), Saturday 7pm
WVC Class 3A Game
Series: Lake-Lehman 14-0
Last Meeting: 2020 – Lake-Lehman 48-14
Last Week: Lake-Lehman 40, Holy Redeemer 7; Lackawanna Trail 60, Holy Redeemer 27
Players To Watch
Lake-Lehman: RB Colby Roberts; Holy Redeemer: QB Jacob Hunter
The Skinny: Lehman is starting to play better football as their players get more experience. Redeemer has some exciting players but the defense is subpar. The Black Knights have never lost to the Royals.
Favorite: Lake-Lehman by 20

West Scranton Invaders (0-5) at Scranton Prep Cavaliers (4-0)

Scranton Memorial Stadium (Turf), Saturday 7pm
LFC Division II Game
Series: Scranton Prep 26-15
Last Meeting: 2020 – Scranton Prep 55-0
Last Week: Valley View 48, West Scranton 0; Scranton Prep 41, Western Wayne 14
Players To Watch
West Scranton: WR Hunter Bumgardner; Scranton Prep: QB Sean Monahan
The Skinny: West was clearly outmatched last week and the story will be the same this Saturday. Cavaliers are rolling and it will probably be a quick night for the starters.
Favorite: Scranton Prep by 45
