It’s no surprise anymore when Delaware Valley has double digit wins in a season. Coach Keith Olsommer has built the Warriors into one of the premier programs in the district. Yes, they are a bigger school but that doesn’t account for consistency, something DV is very good at.
The Warriors will plug in a new quarterback in 2020 in Aiden Oliver. Like many before him, Oliver had to wait his turn, but there is a good chance he will continue the DV quarterback legacy. Preston Machado will be the feature back with Joe Sciascia getting touches as well. Fullback Jason Henderson, an Old Dominion commit, could see more carries and will continue to lead a strong running game. Both receivers are experienced in Mark Callanan and Harlem Cook. Finnegan McCormick will also see some time. Cooper Kidd is the new tight end.
Up front, Mike Gecik, Gabe Tidridge and Ryan Battaglia will man three of the spots while the other two will emerge from training camp competition.
Thomas Actisdano and Todd Smirman will join Gecik, an Albany commit on the defensive line. Henderson has been the leading tackler the past three seasons and is considered one of the best linebackers in the state. Eric Cabrera will be in one of the other spots. Machado, Cook, McCormack, Callanan and C.J. Ross will see time in the secondary.
Oliver will take over the place kicking duties while Cormac Starr will punt.
