BIG SCHOOL

  1. Dallas Mountaineers (1-0), defeated Tunhannock 49-13 (Last week: 2)
    The Mounts were impressive in their opener and jump to the number one spot after DV’s lackluster offensive outing.

  2. Valley View Cougars (1-0), defeated Wallenpaupack 41-10 (Last week: 3)
    It was business as usual for the Cougars as they picked up right where they left off in 2018.

  3. Berwick Bulldogs (1-0), defeated Abington Heights 28-6 (Last week: 4)
    The defense was stout again, but the offense had to wake up in the second half against the upstart Comets.

  4. Delaware Valley Warriors (0-1), lost to Pennridge 13-0 (Last week: 1)
    DV always plays a quality team from outside the district in Week 1, but the lack of scoring makes us pause and have a wait and see with the offense.

  5. North Pocono Trojans (1-0), defeated West Scranton 42-6 (Last week: NR)
    It was an impressive night for North Pocono who dominated both sides of the ball and knocked off the ranked Invaders to earn a spot in the rankings.

  6. Wyoming Valley West Spartans (1-0), defeated Scranton 14-10 (Last week: 6)
    Valley West defense shined as expected, but the offense will need to get better to keep winning.

SMALL SCHOOL

  1. Scranton Prep Cavaliers (1-0), defeated Dunmore 28-17 (Last week: 1)
    The Cavaliers have some new faces, but the wins keep coming.

  2. Lakeland Chiefs (1-0), defeated Honesdale 28-8 (Last week: 2)
    New coach Dave Piwowarczyk gets his first career win.
    Next up: at Lake-Lehman (0-1)
  3. Wyoming Area Warriors (1-0), defeated Mid Valley 56-13 (Last week: 3)
    A 49-0 lead at halftime allowed Wyoming Area to rest their starters and get some young players playing time.

  4. Old Forge Blue Devils (1-0), defeated Carbondale 46-0 (Last week: 4)
    After a slow start, the Devils rolled behind QB Dante Lucarelli and some young receivers.

  5. Western Wayne Wildcats (1-0), defeated Lake-Lehman 33-7 (Last week: NR)
    The Cats ran all over the Black Knights as Zane Janiszewski led the way behind a strong effort by the line.

    The Bucks actually led 17-14 in the 4th quarter but specials teams proved to be the achilles heel.
