Big schools stay the same while Small Schools shift at the bottom. Now, only three unbeatens remain in District 2. Here is the Week 7 Super Six.

BIG SCHOOL

  1. Valley View (7-0) – Western Wayne gave the Cougars their toughest game of the year. Good teams find a way to win. Last Week: 1, Next Game: at Dallas (7-0)
  2. Dallas (7-0) – We will finally find out how good the Mounts are the next two weeks. Are the contenders or still a year away?  Last Week: 2, Next Game: vs Valley View (7-0)
  3. Berwick (6-1) – The Dawgs had a hangover from last week’s intense game and trailed 14-0 at half. But they woke up in the second half to jump back in the win column. Last Week: 3, Next Game: vs Crestwoood (2-5)
  4. Williamsport (5-2) – An amazing last-second win by the Millionaires keeps Chuck Crews team going it the right direction. Last Week: 4, Next Game: at Delaware Valley (4-3).
  5. Wallenpaupack (4-3) –  Buckhorns get a stop on a two-point conversion and get a huge win over a rival.  Last Week: 5, Next Game: vs. Tunkhannock (2-5)
  6. West Scranton (4-3) –  Battle of the Bell is won. Now, playoff seeding is on the Invaders agenda   Last Week: 6, Next Game: at Western Wayne (5-2)

DROPPED OUT: None

SMALL SCHOOL

  1. Scranton Prep (6-1) – Prep’s defense shuts down a good running game and continues to be the favorite in Class 3A.  Last Week: 1, Next Game: at Pittston Area (3-4)
  2. Wyoming Area (7-0) – Every week, a different Warrior steps up and makes plays. Great balance with this team.    Last Week: 2, Next Game: vs. Holy Redeemer (0-7) 
  3. Western Wayne (6-1) – A gutsy effort against the No. 4 team in the state. Wildcats program is making a statement. Last Week: 4, Next Game: vs West Scranton (4-3)
  4. Dunmore (5-2) – Bucks got Josh Sawka back a couple weeks ago and that has changed the offense. Running over people again.  Last Week: 6, Next Game: vs Susquehanna (4-3)
  5. Lakeland (5-2) – It was a struggle this past Saturday for the Chiefs but goes in the books as a win on the legs of Giovani Spataro.  Last Week: 5, Next Game: vs Nanticoke (3-4)
  6. Old Forge (5-2) – It was a huge road win against Trail. They will meet again for the district championship. Last Week: NR. Next Game: vs Riverside (5-2)
